Another custom Amy Butler project I recently finished was the kimono robe from her book In Stitches. I used the Morning Glory in Slate from her Lotus collection. I have to say that of the Butler fabrics I have so far, this one is my favorite. The combination of cream and slate along with hints of blue and accents of rusty red really does something for me. I am not always a fan of her fabrics, but this is one I would use again.
As for the pattern, I actually enjoyed making it. I have to admit, that I was not thrilled with the pattern for the tunics I made; it took much longer to complete those than I expected. However, the kimono was much more simple and easy to follow, and I was able to add a few of my own touches as well. This is one I may end up making for myself.
I had a hard time getting a good picture, but I have included one of the back, with the robe folded in half, and a picture of one of the belt loops. This is the size Large; if you are thinking of making this and are not sure which size to choose, it ends up being fairly larger than the normal size–the large could fit someone who wears an XL.

Kelly, you are so talented! All of your work is amazing.
