I love to play Scrabble.  I like words, I like challenges (get it?!), I like bantering back and forth over whether the word I have placed on the board is legitimate or not.  I like Scrabble enough that I would even wear it, and now you can too!  Charlene over at BittyBlock is offering this Scrabble Tile Pendant (yes, made with a real Scrabble tile) to one lucky ID reader.  So, keep reading.

First off, Charlene let me ask her a few questions and share the answers with you.  She is one busy and talented artist.

1. How did you get going with Etsy?
I heard about Etsy about a year ago, but I don’t remember exactly how. I think it may have been when I was looking for a tooth fairy pillow for my oldest daughter. I joined and started my first shop (littlebugsboutique.etsy.com) in December, 2007. I thought it would be a great way to gain exposure for my jewelry line. I was right! I opened [BittyBlock shop] in April, and I have a third shop (littleworkshop.etsy.com) where I sell supplies.

2. What is your favorite thing to make?
The Bitty Blocks are my favorite thing to make. I have more ideas than I can ever get made. I have always enjoyed working with Swarovski crystals and sterling silver. My three little girls are what inspires me everyday.

3. What are you currently working on?
I am working on building my wholesale business right now as well as running my own retail children’s boutique. My jewelry studio is located at the back of my shop, so I am back and forth all day. I just opened the shop on September 5th. I have a website as well – www.beetlecreekkids.com.

4. What has been the best part about selling online?
The best part about selling on ETSY has been meeting such a diverse and talented community of designers and crafters. The support and encouragement has been amazing!

5. What do you like to do when you are not creating for your Etsy and other shops?
When is that?

6. What is the last movie you watched?
The last movie I watched was with my girls, Ariel’s Beginning. Sorry, I don’t get out much with 3 kids under 8 and essentially two businesses.
