I finished the tea towel I began working on last week along with two more. I started this project so I could have something besides cooling racks to give to a good friend for her bridal shower on Saturday. I was not planning to give her the one with the single flower since it was the first one, but I was really happy with the way it turned out, so I went ahead and included that one.
I have always like the look of hand embroidered towels, but they are so often a little out of date for my taste. I was happy to find that the process of making them was not at all difficult, and was incredibly relaxing. I have a few more ideas for ones to make to list in my shop, but I’ll have to wait a while for that.
We are still without power at the house, so my creating has been largely limited this week. There is not enough light to do any embroidery, and of course I cannot use the machine until the light comes back on. I do have plans to work on more magnet sets if the power is still out tomorrow. Speaking of magnets, I have 4 or 5 sets up now and am still offering free shipping if you mention my blog in your order. Also, if you are wondering why I am charging “so much”, it is because I have chosen to use very high quality, hand-cut glass and high quality magnet backs on these. I hate magnets that will not even hold a photo on the frig, and these will hold multiple photos–even if you close the door really hard!
