I spent some time cleaning and organizing my sewing (and storage) room today. It was out of control. I didn’t even think about getting “before and after” photos until I was already a few minutes into the cleaning. It was *really* bad. Part of the problem is lack of organizing space. I solved that with various boxes we had laying around. Here are a few of the before and after shots…

It feels so nice to have things under control up there. I’m actually kind of embarrassed now that I look at these pictures, but this will be good motivation to keep it clean! I still need to get some shelves so I don’t just have stuff lined up along the floor. I can only handle that for so long!
One other good thing about all this cleaning (besides making me feel more sane!) is that it gave me a much better idea of my “inventory”. I have sooo much fabric and really do not need to be buying any more for a long time (even though I want to!) So, I have two custom orders coming up which I need to buy for, but other than that, I don’t need to buy any more for quite a while. I’ve got all I need to complete just about all of my birthday and Christmas presents coming up plus some.
In other ID news, I finished the applique on the onesies to round out the gifts for my friends. They are really cute, and I’ll show those to you in another post. Brandon and I went with another couple to the St. James Art fair today. It is huge! This was the first time we were able to go since we moved here two years ago. There is about 8 or 10 city blocks dedicated to the art fair, and we probably only saw about half! It was a great time, and we are hoping to go back next year and get to see it all!
