I love the feeling of being productive. This weekend I certainly had that. Among other things, I made several sets of thumbtacks (which will make great stocking stuffers!) that are going to be going up in the shop over the next week. I took all the pictures as well, so now I just need to find some time to get them listed. That probably will not be until Tuesday or Wednesday. For now, this picture will have to do.
I finished up one of the birthday presents I am working on, but unfortunately I cannot give you any pictures…I would ruin a “surprise” if I did. I have not been this excited about birthdays for quite a while. That isn’t because I don’t like to give gifts, but because I live so far from my family. It’s so much better when you actually get to celebrate with the ones you love, but since I can’t do that, I can at least spend that time making something that I know they will really enjoy.
I also had some time to make two pillow covers I had to put on hold a while ago. One of them is with some beautiful Japanese cotton/linen fabric. I don’t have any pictures of it yet either because I still have to sew on the buttons. I had buttons made for this particular pillow cover, and I’ll give you all the details when I get pictures of it.
Tomorrow I will be in a grant-writing seminar all day. I am actually looking forward to this because I have helped write a few grants at work, but this will give me a much better idea of what I’m doing!
