Look what came to me in the mail yesterday! I love to write notes, especially when I have nice cards like this! I bought them from Wendy Chung of Dozi, a fellow Etsy shop. Wendy likes to make things that are “simple and delightful”, and these certainly fit the bill!
After tearing through the packaging to get my little gift to me, I had some time to do a little sewing. I decided to work on something for my shop. My goal is to make things that are beautiful and functional, and what better way to do that than to make some re-usable napkins? They are beautiful, functional, and just plain smart.
When I finished with the napkins I still had some more time and plenty more fabric. I was trying to think of something else I could make, and I came up with an idea that I made me run downstairs to tell my husband who was somewhere far off in the land of writing papers. I made some re-suable cocktail napkins! I am sure that I am not the only one to come up with this idea, but I was fairly pleased with myself when the idea did come. With the holiday season coming up, many of us will be thinking about entertaining while keeping both the economy and the environment in mind. Once I get these in my shop, they will not cost much more than a package of paper cocktail napkins, and you will not have to throw them away. Plus your guests will be really impressed!
Update: both sets are in the shop now :o)
