For the first time in several weeks, I made the trek back into blog-dom today. I have to admit that I have been avoiding my blog like the plague–or the flu for you modern types. This is in part because my vacation was happily extended from one week to two weeks which really turned into two and half weeks. So, I did not come back to reality until well after the beginning of this new year.
My extended vacation left me feeling entirely exhausted, and now is as good of a time as any for a confession. In three days I will be able to say that I have not so much as touched my sewing machine over the course of one entire month. Yes, it needed a vacation, but a month long vacation? Well, it will probably be longer than that.
I have several ideas for projects I want to work on, but these are actually going to be for me since the last six months were spent making items for other people. I am tossing around the idea of trying to make a mini-quilt, although I have to admit that the idea of making a quilt really overwhelms me. I am used to doing projects that can be completed in a day! I’m still thinking this one through.
To show you just how long it has taken me to recover from my vacation, here is a picture.
Don’t you see it??
Don’t worry; it isn’t really there (you’re not crazy!). I have not even uploaded photos from my camera to my computer! So, for the remainder of the month, I will be working on getting my pictures up, coming back to blog writing, and maybe (maybe) starting a quilt.
