Spring is in the air, and change is coming! As my neighbors are out preparing their gardens for the coming warm weather and sunshine, I am sticking my head back in the house and bringing about some changes of my own.
Irene Design has been a fantastic outlet for me over the past 22 months but nothing has really taken root and stuck around. I have a lot of random ideas rattling around in my mind with little direction to guide the way. It’s time to plant these seeds so they can take root and grow into something new.
In an effort to see more of the fruits of my labor, I have signed up for Indie Business 2.0 It is a six-week online course offered by three super-talented, and yes—successful, indie business owners. I am hoping this will provide me some time to till the landscape by focusing my energies and setting some realistic goals for Irene Design.
I am toying with the idea of closing the shop over the next six weeks, but I do not think I will be adding anything new until the course is over. This will allow me to rethink and restructure Irene Design, and hopefully come back with something much more cohesive yet true to the identity of combining function and beauty in everyday life. I am really excited about what is coming, and I will be blogging about it so you can keep up.
